A cardholder is a practical choice if you want to make something on Sunday and use it from Monday. At Hyeong Leather Workshop near Ttukseom Station, you make a two-slot cardholder. You punch holes in the leather, stitch it, and finish the edges by hand.

Choose from twelve leather colors and compare thread colors at the workshop. Color combinations and free engraving give even a small cardholder its own character. Your finished piece is packaged for you to take home that day. It is also a good option for friends who want to make the same item in different colors.

For October 11 at 12:00, you can select one two-slot cardholder. The class takes about two to two and a half hours. The venue says the price covers completion, with no extra charge if your work takes longer. Leave plenty of time that afternoon so you do not have to rush your stitching.

If you have not decided what to draw, you can start with a prepared sample design. It also suits a day when you want to turn a travel photo on your phone into artwork.

The oil pastel class uses A4 paper. The official class guide also explains taking your finished work home. All necessary materials and tools are provided, so you do not need to buy art supplies before trying a new hobby.

You can select two participants for Saturday’s 13:00 class. The base fee is ₩36,000 per person, with a 10% discount for two or more. That brings the total for two to ₩64,800, or ₩32,400 each. Oil painting has a different base price, so do not budget the same amount for that option.

Try a mother-of-pearl keyring if you want to start with a small project lasting about an hour. At Hwihyangchallan in Insadong’s Ssamzigil, you learn about mother-of-pearl, then arrange and attach the pieces. Rather than drawing a picture yourself, you create a look through the shapes and spacing of the pieces.

For October 10 at 13:00, you can select one keyring. The selected price is ₩24,000, covering the class and packaging of the finished piece. Phone grips and mirrors are also available under the same booking listing, but using one keyring as your comparison keeps things simple.

You receive the finished piece that day, making it a possible gift for someone you are meeting later. Booking is not confirmed immediately, however. The venue must approve it first; the booking page says this takes an average of two to three hours. Avoid treating your plans as fixed as soon as you submit the booking.

The canelé class at Rakung Bakery in Seongsu-dong suits anyone who wants to make the batter and bake it themselves. Here, you bake your own batter without resting it. You can take the results home straight after class, with the pleasure of having made your weekend treats yourself.

While the canelés bake, you decorate the packaging. You receive six finished canelés, a box, and a bag. Aprons and other supplies are also provided. If you want to bake them again at home, you can request the recipe after class.

Saturday’s 11:00 class ends at 12:20. It costs ₩39,000 per person, and selecting two participants shows a total of ₩78,000. The class runs with a minimum of two, so it is a good activity to try with a friend or partner.

If your preferences shift each time you choose a scent, you can start by testing a small sample. At Aromind Perfume Workshop in Mapo-gu, you learn perfume blending. You smell different scents and adjust their proportions with a perfumer. The class is suited to finding a combination you like rather than copying a particular brand’s perfume.

First, you make a 10ml sample and try it on your skin. Then you use the adjusted proportions to make 50ml of perfume. You bottle and box the finished perfume during class. The ₩50,000 fee covers the sample, finished perfume, box, and shopping bag.

You can select one participant for the October 10 session at 11:00. The website gives a duration of 60–90 minutes, so leave some room before your next appointment. The class is conducted in Korean and may include other people who have booked. You can join alone to make a bottle for yourself.

The ₩10,000 shown on the ring-making booking page is a deposit, not the full class fee. Basic rings at Banji Daehak Hongdae Main Branch in Hongdae start at ₩45,000 per person. If you pay the deposit and make the basic version without changes, the remaining ₩35,000 is due on site.

The material is 99.9% pure silver, and the necessary tools are provided. Staff guide the making process, so first-time ring makers can follow each step. Basic rings are ready to take home that day. Making rings for each other gives you something to remember the weekend by.

You can select one participant for Saturday’s 10:30 entry slot. The 30-minute interval on the booking page is an arrival window; making the ring itself takes about two hours. Changes to width and extras such as computer engraving, gemstones, or plating increase the cost. Plating is separate from the basic version available for same-day collection.

If you can wait for your dish to be finished, start with the clay at Seradyu in Yeoksam-dong. In the handbuilding class, you shape a plate by hand, then add color and decoration. It suits people who want to make a shallow plate rather than a tall form such as a cup or vase.

The class runs for one hour from 11:00 on Sunday. It costs ₩75,000 per person, and the venue states there are no additional class charges. You can budget on the basis of collecting the finished piece yourself. Shipping costs extra if you choose delivery.

The booking guide gives a collection time of about 15 days after the class. The clay needs to dry and be fired, so this is not a class that leaves you with a plate to use that weekend. It is worth considering if your gift deadline is flexible and you would enjoy waiting for your handmade dish.
